The High Way Journal: Week 4 Journal Prompts


The High Way Journal, By Kelly Kirstein, is a guided journal that helps you build faith in Jesus. This post offers one slide per day with simple questions to help you complete each page of week 4. Get closer to God one verse at a time.

 

Day 1: Journal Pg. 28


  1. Invite Holy Spirit to join you. Ask him to fill you with light to open up your understanding of the the power of God.

  2. A stronghold is a place of security. What would it look like if the Lord was your security in life?

  3. Write out things that stir up fear in you. Then pray and Holy Spirit to help you understand why they make you feel afraid.

  4. Why do you think you struggle with fear, if you know God is bigger than anything you fear?

Day 2: Journal Pg. 29

  1. Invite Holy Spirit to join you. Ask to surround you and fill you with His Presence.

  2. Make a list of all the amazing gifts God has given you.

  3. How can you use them to serve others and to glorify God?

  4. Father of Lights. Close your eyes and ask Holy Spirit to give you a picture representing the phrase Father of Lights. Draw as best you can what comes to mind.


Day 3: Journal Pg. 30

  1. Invite Holy Spirit to fill you up and give you wisdom.

  2. Believing God is an important part of being his child. Write about things you struggle to believe about God. Be honest.

  3. Ask Holy Spirit to help you believe what scripture says about him is true.

  4. In the days ahead, keep asking God to increase your faith, belief, and understanding of him.

Day 4: Journal Pg. 31

  1. Invite the Holy Spirit. Ask him to help you to express the way you feel about yourself.

  2. In your journal, List out the positive and negative things you feel about yourself. Draw a picture of your inner world.

  3. Reflecting on what you put down, is your perception of yourself, positive, negative, or both?

  4. How can negative perceptions change the way you see yourself?

Day 5: Journal Pg. 32

What if I told you that the family story and your inheritance are explained in the Bible. Don't leave your inheritance sitting on the shelf. Do the work to understand the things you have access to as part of the family of God.

  1. Invite Holy Spirit. Ask Him to give you the ability to picture yourself as God's daughter. Remember God is the most powerful person that exists.

  2. What would change about the way you see yourself, if you believed you were part of the family of God?

  3. Why is it important to understand what you inherit as God's daughter? What happens if you don't know about something you inherit?
