The High Way Journal, By Kelly Kirstein, is a guided journal that helps you build faith in Jesus. This post offers one slide per day (Days 31-35) with simple questions to help you complete each page of Week 7. Get closer to God one verse at a time.
Day 1: Journal Pg. 46
Ask Holy Spirit to help you live your life through the Spirit who gives you life to set you free from sin and death.
Have you ever thanked God for revealing sin in your life? It may seem like a strange idea, but really it's not. Sin is like a cancer in your life. It steals your joy, it pulls you off track, and leads you into darkness.
It's such a gift to know what we aren't supposed to do as believers in Christ. Think about times you messed up. Remember there's no condemnation, then confess what happened to God. Ask for help to step into deeper connection with the Spirit to gain power of the pull of sin.
Visualize throwing off the sin that trying to hold onto you. Grab onto the light of Christ and receive the freedom to live from his kingdom.
There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. Romans 8:1 NKJV
Day 2: Journal Pg. 47
Ask Holy Spirit to open your heart and mind to receive the kingdom of God and the life that reflects that you belong there.
Repent and Believe. Repentance is often linked to an action that brings you into alignment with God's will.
What do you wish you could get out of your life? Did you know repentance is the first step in breaking free?
What do you think Jesus meant when he said the kingdom of God is at hand?
Do you ever marvel at how much can be packed into one verse?
Day 3: Journal Pg. 48
Holy Spirit give us the gift of faith and open our hearts to understand the Secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven.
Jesus spoke in parables to conceal the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven. Those who understand and choose to obey God, will be entrusted with responsibility.
Those who have not been given the ability to understand don't receive the fruit of the revelation, but they also don't bear the responsibility that comes with knowing.
Day 4: Journal Pg. 49
Ask Holy Spirit to give you a picture or something that will help you understand this verse.
Nicodemus was a member of the Jewish ruling council. He secretly met with Jesus and confessed his belief.
Jesus explained we must be reborn of water and spirit. Nicodemus didn't understand.
What do you think Jesus meant? Check out John 3:5 in context to read the verse in context.
Day 5: Journal Pg. 50
Holy Spirit, the Kingdom of Heaven is so hard to wrap our minds around. Please reveal the truth.
Citizens & members of God's household. What would it be like to pack up your stuff and move into God's house?
Or imagine your life surround by other believers all the time. DO you feel like you would fit in? How would it be awesome and how would it be hard?
